EOTO: what I learned

The television has been a common part of our society for multiple years, however, there was a lot about that I didn't know about them. During the EOTO presentations, I learned a great deal about how the history of the television, as well as its impacts.

In 1927, Philo Taylor Farnsworth invented the worlds first electronic television. The electronic television began to grow around the world, and by the time of 1928, the first ever television network was created. By 1939, sports games began being aired and quickly became the most popular topics to watch over the years. The television industry continued to progress with the invention of the remote, colored TVs, and up to the invention of smart TVs which many households have today.

The television has impacted in the world in numerous ways, both positive and negative. One of the most impactful and positive impacts that has come with the invention of the television is connection. The television allows us to connect with people around the world through our favorite TV show or network. It also allows to stay connected and up to date on important issues through the multiple news networks which are offered. While there are some great positives to the television, there are some disadvantages as well. Your health is one way the TV negatively impacts you and people around the world. Obesity, sleep, and poor grades are all issues which can sometimes be relayed back to the television because it distracts you from properly taking of yourself and your grades. It's easy to get caught into watching multiple episodes of show while snaking on some junk food.

The television is a common item found in most households today, that greatly impacts our world. As the television progresses and innovations advance, it begins to connect the world in new ways.
